Convoy: projects and scorecards

Run the work on boards linked to real records, and grade your week with numbers that fill themselves.

About 10 minutes · Running the shop

Convoy is for the work around the deals: onboarding checklists, launch plans, renewals, anything with steps and owners. Boards work like the spreadsheet-with-superpowers tools you may know, except rows can link to your real contacts and deals. Scorecards sit next to the boards and grade your week with numbers that fill themselves from your pipeline.

1Build a board

  1. Open Convoy and press New board.
  2. Add columns with real types. Status, person, date, number, checkbox, dropdown, contact, deal, formula, and lookup. A formula column can compute totals from other columns.
  3. Add rows and drag them around. Switch between table view and kanban view (cards grouped by status) whenever it helps.
  4. Link rows to records. A row's contact and deal columns point at the real records, and the connection shows both ways: the record's Projects tab lists every row that mentions it.

Views and totals
Sortable saved views per person, column totals, filters, CSV export, and board archiving when the work is done.
Intake boards
Route a form into Convoy and every submission becomes a row automatically, one column per question. Triage requests where the work happens.

2Scorecards: the numbers that run the week

A scorecard is a short list of numbers you review on a rhythm (weekly for most teams), each with a goal. Green means on track, yellow means wobbling, red means talk about it. If you run EOS, this is that, built in.

  1. Create a scorecard and add measurables. A measurable is one number with an owner and a goal: calls booked, revenue collected, proposals out.
  2. Let the system fill what it can. Auto-measurables compute themselves from your real data: deals won, revenue, meetings held, forms submitted, tasks completed. Sum, count, or average, on your cadence.
  3. Type the rest weekly. Manual measurables take ten seconds each in the weekly view.
  4. Review on your rhythm. Reds become owned tasks. That's the whole meeting.
An off-track measurable can fire an automation: notify the owner, open a task, post the number to whoever needs to see it. You find out before the quarter is missed, not after.

3Good to know

Automations can write here
Rules can set, add to, or increment a measurable, and can create or move board items. A form submission can put a row on a board and bump a counter in one motion.
Refresh rhythm
Auto-measurables recompute themselves every hour, so the scorecard is always current when the meeting starts.
Tasks vs boards
Tasks (in the left menu) are personal to-dos on records. Boards are shared work with columns and stages. Use both; convert a board card into tasks when it turns into real work.
