Deals and pipelines
Track every deal from first hello to closed, on a board you can drag or a list you can sort.

A deal is a piece of business you're trying to win: a sale, an engagement, a commitment. Deals move through stages in a pipeline, so at a glance you can see what's early, what's close, and what's stuck. You can work them as a drag-and-drop board or a sortable list. Same deals, two views.
1Create a deal
- Open Deals in the left menu.
- Press New deal. Give it a name, an amount, and the contact or company it belongs to. Amounts power your pipeline totals and forecasts.
- Pick the pipeline and stage. Most workspaces start with one Sales pipeline. You can add more in Settings, then Pipelines.
Deals also create themselves. A form submission can open a deal, and so can a booked meeting. If deals appear that you didn't type, an automation or a form made them, which is usually exactly what you wanted.
2Work the board
- Switch to the board view. Each column is a stage. Drag a card to move the deal. That's it, the stage change is saved and lands on the deal's timeline.
- Watch for rotting deals. A deal that sits untouched too long gets flagged so it can't quietly die of neglect.
- Close it. Drag to a won or lost stage, or set the outcome on the deal card. Won and lost stages are marked in Settings, then Pipelines.

| Deal | Stage | Amount | Health |

| Harborline retainer | Proposal | $24,000 | Healthy |
| Chen Partners onboarding | Negotiation | $8,500 | Rotting |
| Okafor renewal | Lead | $3,000 | Healthy |
3What the deal card tells you
- Health score
- A computed read on how alive the deal is, based on activity, age, and stage. Red means go touch it.
- Confidence
- Your own gut call on this specific deal, separate from the stage's default win probability.
- Linked people
- Every contact on the deal, with their fields available in deal filters. "Deals where a contact is tagged Alpha Maven" works.
- Activity, Notes, Tasks
- The same tabs as a contact card, scoped to this deal.
4Set up stages that match reality
- Open Settings, then Pipelines.
- Rename, reorder, add, or remove stages. Keep them few and honest. Five to seven working stages is plenty for most teams.
- Mark outcomes. Flag which stages mean won and lost, and set a win probability per stage if you want weighted pipeline numbers on your dashboard.
Stage changes are automation triggers. Moving a deal to Proposal can create a task, send an email, or update a scorecard on its own. The Automations guide shows how.
